What is diabetes?

In two words, it is high glucose level in the blood. But as it is not a single but group disease, it varies. There are some common causes of diabetes such as inappropriate cell response or inadequate insulin production (or two of them connected together). People with high glucose level can be identified by strong thirst and hunger and frequent urination. Diabetes type 1 appears due to the destruction of the absolute majority of pancreatic β-cells which product insulin by T cell autoimmunity.

To control diabetics properly, new methods of control T cell autoimmunity and making β-cell function remain unchanged have to be developed. The diabetic disease chains patients with the necessity of using the exogenous insulin.

For sure, science progressing and today some medical studies show that T1DM treatment with the use of mesenchymal stem cells from adipose tissue potentially can be very effective.
